Black Belt 5th DEGREE

Sigung Panos Georghiou commenced his training in the early 70s and it was Judo that’s was to take him into a world of grappling and throwing, it was here that he gained his first Black belt and won many trophy’s both nationally and internationally. As the years rolled by he started training in the art of Wing Chun where he gained the rank of Black belt 4th degree and instructor qualifications. At the same time he was still training and practicing his Judo although at this time he was working on ways to make the cross over from sport to reality based training.

In 1994 while watching T.V he saw Master Paul Treacy who was teaching on a show and some days later had seen him in the local news papers, so he contacted Master Treacy and set up a meeting. The two got on very well and in the end Panos decided that he had found his new teacher. Over the years Panos has become an excellent martial artist, his deep understanding of the LKD fighting system, combat strategy and powerful techniques that he demonstrates make him one of the most knowledgeable instructors around today. With almost 40 years of training in the martial arts his enthusiasm and passion has not been dampened, if he is not at the studio training then you will find him in the gym.

Panos is a first generation Black belt of the LKD fighting system and holds the title and rank of Sigung Black belt 5th degree, as well as Black belts in Judo and Wing Chun he also holds a Black belt 3rd Degree in Jiu Jitsu and is also a fully qualified coach in health and fitness and weight training.
