SIFU MICHAEL KYRIACOU

Black Belt 3rd DEGREE

Michael commenced his training in the LKD fighting system over fifteen years ago and is a second generation student of the LKD system where he has reached the grade of Black Belt 3rd Degree. He is one of the senior instructors at the studio where he heads up the Dragon Warriors kids classes as well as teaching the adult classes. Michael has proven himself time and time again as a loyal and dedicated student of the LKD Fighting System and of the founder Master Paul Treacy 8th Degree.

Having worked as a Door supervisor at night clubs for many years in and around the London area he had plenty of situations were he had to use his skills to control and contain situations, and found that the LKD system gave him the tools to do the job.

 He has developed many new training programmes for the studio over the years and is a well liked instructor by all who train with him and is an integral part of the LKD family. As well as his grades in the LKD Fighting System Michael also holds the rank of Black Belt in Jiu Jitsu and life time membership in Jiu Jitsu International.

In 2000 he was awarded Instructor of the year by the World Kobudo Federation and Jjiu Jitsu International at the annual Christmas dinner and dance presented to him by Master Richard Morris 10th Degree and Master Paul Treacy 8th Degree in front of 250 guests. In 2009 he was awarded the title of Sifu and in 2010 he was graded to Black Belt 3rd degree.
